Study of Diamond Wheel Wear Based on the Principle of Frictional Energy Distribution in Ultrasonic-Assisted Grinding Trajectories

In the grinding process, friction energy generated by grains and workpiece in zone will affect service life of wheel. Ultrasonic-vibration-assisted (UVAG) can reduce force generation during grinding. this work, wear mechanism wheels UVAG is discussed detail from perspective grain trajectory tribology. The results show that has a smaller than conventional (CG). Furthermore, when initial included angles are 90° 150°, single surface reduced 24% 37% compared with CG, respectively. UVAG, prone to microfractures, self-sharpening ability wheel enhanced, which obtain lower better quality.
